La Roussière 15800 Saint-Clément
Maison d'hôtes
Between summer pastures, green forests or snow-covered hillsides, La Roussière is a unique guest house: a charming cocoon in the heart of an old mountain farm nestled at an altitude of 1,019 m, far from any traffic.
At the foot of the Plomb du Cantal, it is the ideal place to melt into nature.
This old farm of 1834 had been abandoned for forty years when it was chosen for the shooting of the movie "Harry, a friend who wants to do you good".
A house of character, with sometimes very contemporary fittings, it has been restored with respect for the traditional architecture of the Carladès region: local stone, lime plastered walls, slate roof, wood-faced partitions (but carefully insulated), stone floors, solid oak floors...
Three very comfortable rooms, including two suites, have been fitted out to welcome you in the best conditions.
We will welcome you as friends. You will be able to settle down comfortably in front of the large Auvergne fireplace ("le cantou") in the living room or in the small vaulted living room, an old chapel where the television is located. At meal time, we will meet as in the past around the large table of the kitchen-dining room: we no longer offer the table d'hôtes but the kitchen is at your disposal to cook what you have brought. When you return from your walks, we will be pleased to offer you a hot or cold drink to cheer you up.
Welcome to our home!
